  • Runway 18/36 1797 metres long and 30 metres wide was first opened in 1961.
  • Last aircraft to use runway runway 36 was Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-DEQ, departing at 17:07 Saturday 13/06/2020 bound for Archerfield.
  • Sunshine Coast Airport Traffic Control broadcast at 08:30 14/06/2020 that 18/36 is now officially decommissioned
  • Sunshine Coast Airport Traffic Control broadcast at 09:14 14/06/2020 that runway 13/31 was officially commissioned.

  • First jet aircraft departure on runway 31 was locally based and operated Machjet International Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 VH-ZIY.
  • First Malta registered aircraft landed late evening. AirX Embraer ERJ-100 Lineage 1000 9H-FCM arrived from Kualanamu International Airport via Brisbane at around 22:30.
